I discovered some interesting mosaics in Darwin when we were there in December 2006, en route to East Timor.

First was The Eye of the Explorer, which was mostly of glass, lit from underneath with water over it.
and then, there was a beautiful path incorporating flowing leaves made from smalti, natural stone and ceramic pieces. It was a tribute to several prominent women from the Northern Territory.
